What we delivered
Retrospectively almost 15 years later with no maintenance in an almost 15 year period in the heart of Chicago. Dramatically extending the bridges service life.
The steel bridges needed a long term solution to prevent slipping in winter conditions whilst providing a high friction surface that protects the steel from corrosion in the intervening months. Lifecycle of the system with notoriously heavy trucks and trailers in USA showing how the product performs to a high standard over an extended period of time with very high traffic volumes. In July 2018, Chicago city council renamed the Congress Parkway bridge to the Ida B. Wells Drive. Born in Mississippi on July 1862. Wells was a journalist, abolitionist, and feminist, who led an anti-lynching crusade in the 1890s.
