The anti-skid systems supporting regional growth
We specialise in the manufacture and supply anti-skid high traction coatings in cases where project compliance and ease of specification are key.

Why choosing the right anti-skid is critical
public safety
Pedestrian safety is non-negotiable
Public walkways and bridges must remain safe in all conditions. Slips, trips, and falls create risk for users and liability for operators.

longevity
Surfaces must endure decades, not years
Bridges and footpaths are costly to resurface. Short-lived systems create cycles of disruption and expense that councils and operators can’t afford.

Budget
Maintenance budgets are under pressure
Every intervention requires closure, traffic management, and cost. Durable anti-skid reduces maintenance cycles and saves public funds.

compliance
Navigating the regulatory landscape
Civil infrastructure is bound by strict standards. Any system must not only perform but also align with UK safety regulations.

Bimagrip® anti-skid: proven in civil engineering projects
up to 50%
Fewer slips and falls in wet or icy conditions compared with untreated surfaces.
30+ years
Proven performance on bridges and walkways with minimal maintenance.
up to 200%
Repair costs avoided by shielding concrete and steel against wear and corrosion.
fully compliant
Meets UK standards for pedestrian and road bridge safety.

Marine FAQs
We normally recommend 3–5 mm for external use and heavy vehicle impact, and 1–3 mm for internal use. In this case, 3–5 mm all over makes the most sense.
Acraprime is organic.
There are no formal special requirements for winter maintenance or restrictions for salt/gritting. Beegrip Ltd brochures show examples of BIMAGRIP® civil projects exposed to harsh winter conditions. On Congress Parkway (Chicago), snow ploughs used had a rubber edge to protect the surface.
A Blastrac “walk behind” is typical for preparing pedestrian bridges. Blastrac was recently taken over by Husqvarna. Recommended steel blaster: Husqvarna EBE500S. The blaster must be used with a dust collector (such as the DC975). Weights are 752 kg and 521 kg respectively. To remove BIMAGRIP® on a pedestrian bridge, typically a Kango-type breaker is used.
The BIMAGRIP® LS system can take this load.
As far as we understand, BBA/HAPAS does not apply for steel. Quoting BBA: “The HAPAS Scheme is externally governed (by HiTAC) and therefore we cannot guarantee that the HAPAS Certificate can be issued. Currently the application of the product is outside of scope of HAPAS Scheme (steel decks).”
TRL test report shows PTV 86 (report saved in sales support file – BIMAGRIP® SRV Scuffing test).
If water is present or humidity is over 85%, Pack A will react with the water instead of Pack B. This produces carbon dioxide gas, which causes bubbles.
Please keep the materials below 30°C and store in a dry environment.
Stone can be called aggregate or emery (not sand).
Some dust will not affect quality.
They must follow application instructions and guidance from the supervisor
