Herring Bridge - Third River Crossing
The new bridge has eased traffic congestion on the town's roads, shortened journey times and improved journey reliability and will support wider plans to maximise investment, regeneration and economic growth opportunities across the town and wider borough. Our system means a long term antiskid coating that requires no maintenance to the busy bridge.
What we delivered
Twin leaf Bascule Bridge that was nominated for over 12 awards nationally and is helping ease traffic congestion and maximise investment and regeneration of the area.
As a bascule bridge it opens in the middle to allow tall river traffic to flow through. Completed partially in Belgium to help ease the main clients work loads when floated over to Great Yarmouth with only touch up spots to be completed in GY. The vessel comprises a heavy duty road traffic Bimagrip® LS system in the roadway and our Bimagrip® HD lighter grade on the foot and cycle ways.The new system should remain in place without any disruption to the daily traffic for a generation to come, helping the town with its long term goals.
